  • Abstract
    We discuss the interactions of coherent PDM-QPSK channels at 40 Gb/s or 100 Gb/s with lower-bit-rate legacy channels over a typical terrestrial link. Nonlinear effects are found especially penalizing at 40 Gb/s.
