Abstract
Ever since the discovery of photoelectrets by Nadjakov in sulphur, a variety of materials have been used to study the photoelectret effect. Acenaphthene, an organic molecular solid having structure Intermediate between naphthalene and anthracene, has been selected for the study of photoelectret effect. Electrical conduction mechanism and thermoelectret state in acenaphthene has been reported and the results of photoelectret effect studies in terms of dark, photo and field reversed polarisation and depolarisation currents are being reported
