Abstract
Finding suitable multi-hop routing paths for video streaming remains a challenging issue for 802.11 based multihop wireless networks. In this paper, we present an analytical approach that takes cross-layer factors into account and propose a new routing metric based on optimizing a queueing model that considers local data transmission rates, interference and packet drop rates. Simulation results using real video traffic have shown that our proposed routing metric outperform other existing load balancing routing metrics in a number of aspects.
