Abstract
The internationalization (I18N) of software products and documentation for a multinational market usually requires massive structuring and co-ordinating efforts, including outsourcing challenges. The Norwegian company Software Innovation is trying out new methods, integrating professional freelance translators from the target countries in the development I18N process. Through a gradual internationalization, and having translators from the target country localize the software onsite in Norway, the company hopes to obtain higher product quality, greater flexibility and lower costs
