Abstract :
A cellular and PCS-band multipath propagation channel simulator has been written for broadband signals arriving at an antenna array. The simulator is extremely versatile, providing realistic channels for evaluating the performance of adaptive array processing algorithms. The combination of any number of discrete and scatter, line-of-sight and fading paths, each with its own delay, delay spread, Doppler shift, relative gain, and angle-of-arrival to the array can be simulated to create benign as well as difficult multipath environments. The simulator input signal can be any modulated waveform. The output signals of the simulator are the linear combinations of the multipath as would be seen on a set coherent antenna array channels.
