  • Abstract
In this paper we present a numerical analysis of the dual-wavelength-pumped Raman process taking account of a finite band width for the primary pump laser, while still assuming a single frequency laser for the secondary pump laser. This assumption is much more realistic than that in previous analyses because in practical experiments one can use a narrow band laser in the visible or UV spectral region as the secondary pump source. Dual-wavelength pumped Raman-resonant four-wave mixing with a broad-band primary pumping laser can be described in a CW analysis by deriving coupled equations describing the spatial evolution of the self-correlation functions of the primary pump and its Stokes field components. The Fourier transform of the self-correlation function corresponds to the spectrum profile. These self-correlation functions are coupled through a cross-correlation function of the relevant fields
