Abstract :
It is shown that the Gaussian-pulse-profile limit on fiber squeezing can be circumvented via LO pulse compression. In loop-mirror fiber-squeezing experiments the Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) bright-fringe output pulse-augmented with an adjustable phase bias-is used as the LO pulse for homodyne detection of the MZI´s dark-fringe output
