Abstract
This paper presents the implementation of the automated testing of diagnostics trouble code (DTC) based on the diagnostics specification for each Electronic Control Unit (ECU) in Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) carlines. The automated fault diagnostics testing is carried out using Virtual Integration and Test Automation Laboratory (VITAL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation environment at JLR. The methodology of automated diagnostics fault testing is described in detail and the framework is developed to support this. The effectiveness of this methodology is illustrated using real time fault injection and verification.
