Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
In the development of virtual oil depot, how to quickly and really generate three-dimensional terrain of oil depot region(especially the oil depot locates in mountain area). It is a very important and difficult problem. Based on the development example of virtual oil depot, this paper analyses the artificial modeling technique which bases on 3DMAX, modeling technique which bases on MAPGIS, modeling technique which bases on R2V and ArcGIS in detail. By serious contrast and analysis, the perfect combination of R2V and ArcGIS can automatically, quickly and really generate three-dimensional Terrain which is imported to 3DMAX. The technique saves time and manpower, does well in modeling effect, can satisfy the need of all oil departments sufficiently.
