Abstract :
Mechatronics at De Montfort University. De Montfort University, Leicester recognised the importance of developing multi-disciplinary engineers in the early 1990´s when the Masters in Mechatronics was first offered. The driving force behind this was the popularity and the industrial relevance of the final year Systems option on BEng Technology undergraduate course. This option provided the students with an understanding of integrating engineering disciplines. The school already has the necessary staff expertise to provide the knowledge and skills to nurture single disciplined engineers into multi-disciplined engineers
