Abstract :
This paper is concerned with a code division multiple access (CDMA) cellular packet radio network in which each cell contains a base station through which all user communications occur. Inter-cell connectivity is provided by a "backbone" network of the base stations. The possibility of employing multiple transceivers, to service the users, at each base station is considered. The results presented here concern how the system\´s throughput is affected by 1) employment of multiple base station transceivers and 2) changes in quality of the CDMA scheme\´s underlying code
