Abstract :
This paper proposes a push event delivery mechanism to realize content data service synchronized with TV programs on the Internet. And multicast seems to be a good solution. However, the system requires TCP-like reliable data transfer, which is rather difficult to provide on multicast. The proposed delivery mechanism solved the problems by dividing the content service into two parts. One is for real-time client control data, transmitted to the clients in a pure push style. The other is for content data, delivered to the clients in a traditional pull style with HTTP. This paper describes the details of proposed system design and implementation
