Abstract :
The paper describes the architecture of narrowband OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) receiver for partial reception of the ISDB-T (integrated services digital broadcasting for terrestrial) standard. The receiver employs the direct conversion structure in order to mitigate the RF (radio frequency) and IF (intermediate frequency) filter requirements. A rectangular-shape BPF (band pass filter) required for removing the interference from the adjacent segments is implemented in the digital domain. The implementation loss of the proposed receiver is less than 1 dB against the theoretical bit error rate limit at a bit error rate of 10-2.
