Abstract :
The method of preparation and the characterisation of lead titanate (PT) and calcium modified lead titanate (PTCa) ceramic gels has been discussed previously. This paper is concerned with the role of the crystallisation process of the dried gels and the relationship between the crystallisation process and the electroactive properties of the final ceramic powders used as a filler material on ferroelectric ceramic/polymer composites. The ferroelectric ceramic powders produced by the sol-gel technique were mixed with P(VDF-TrFE) with a 50% volume of ceramic and films of about 100 μm were made by hot pressing in order to study their electroactive properties
