Abstract :
An embedded implementation of acoustic field enhancement is proposed, which is dedicated to stereo sound sources. With the use of the embedded DSP-base platform, this algorithm successfully constructs the signal processing filter structure to enhance a 3D acoustic field through either of stereo headphones and stereo speakers. The whole of proposed algorithm can be implemented by a 16 bit fixed-point DSP with the computational costs of 51.6 MIPS and 6.6 kB of memory, high-fidelity spatial acoustics can be achieved in various applications, such as portable stereo players, music streaming to mobile devices, etc.
