A method based on Differential Acoustic Resonance Spectroscopy is presented to estimate the volume and compressibility of a small rock sample. I derived the inversion equation in detail, and developed the numerical simulation using the finite element (FE) method in COMSOL and then calculated the volume and compressibility of a small rock sample using the modeling result.
