Heuristic Routing Protocol Research on Opportunistic Networks

Opportunistic network is a kind of ad hoc networks which exploits the nodes´ meeting opportunities to transmit messages. Routing protocols have a great impact on the efficiency of data transmitting in opportunistic networks, but common routing protocols are usually not adaptable to different opportunistic networks due to the complex and unstable network topology. First introduce formal definitions of the opportunistic networks characteristics, and then propose a serious heuristic rules for data forwarding. Experimental result shows that the heuristic rules have better performance than dissemination based routing protocol and PROPHET protocol.
