Abstract :
The performance of TETRA modulation in a difficult urban, a hilly terrain and in a quasi-synchronous environment, are evaluated. Under the urban and hilly terrain conditions, a 2-ray model is used to evaluate the noise performance. In the simulcast environment, a 2-ray as well as a 4-ray model are used to evaluate the noise performance. Degradation in the performance due to different impairments, such as frequency offset, differential delay and amplitude imbalances, are investigated and illustrated graphically
