    Begin with theory summary of economic development pattern, the paper forecasted GDP per capita in 2020 as indicator of economic development in China based on the optimization of gray model with logarithm new developments coefficients, analyzed influence of population structure on economic development by gray correlation model. The conclusion shows that population industry structure, urban and rural structure, education structure, sex structure, age structure, employment structure are of the important factors in sequence influencing on the economy development. So “industry- promote-education pattern” is suggested to promote people´s all-round development and accelerate the transition of the development pattern by optimizing population structure.
