With the “Kyoto Protocol” formally promulgated, carbon finance has become the focus of global concern. When developed countries tried every means to reduce the cost of emission reduction, developing countries take the advantage of no forcibly emission reduction to expedite technological progress so as to narrow the gap with the developed countries. Carbon financial time walks into our world step by step. This paper aims to study and analyze the existing problems such as non-tariff barriers, technical standards and information asymmetry in innovation capability of China in the age of carbon finance, and propose paths as a reference to China for cultivating innovation capability.
