Abstract

This paper investigates hardware and software architecture of numerical control (NC) system for remote monitor, and realizes in open numerical control system on field bus. Using principles of digital dictionary and data acquisition, the remote monitoring system of open NC system is designed. After in-depth analysis of needs, the design of hardware and software is completed, and applied research on NC EDM machines is conducted. Besides, the development of prototype is completed and the functions of online data acquisition, remote monitoring and remote machining services are realized.
