As a component of financial safety net, deposit insurance system plays an important role in protecting squeeze crisis, enhancing the anti-risk ability of depository institutions, maintaining the interests of depositors. In China, establishing rural cooperative financial institutions´ deposit insurance system is an objective choice of the stable of rural finance. This paper analyzes the operational risk of rural credit cooperatives of China, compares the operational mode of rural cooperative financial deposit insurance system of America, Japan, Germany and India, points out establishing proper deposit insurance system is helpful to improve the operating environment of rural financial institutions, then it can ensure the stability and development of them.
