Abstract :
Defending against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks is one of the hardest security problems on the Internet. In this paper, we propose a simple semipublic hiding algorithm applied for the IP trace back over a noisy networking channel. This approach is capable of tracking back the attacks as quickly as possible. Our techniques feature low network and router overhead, and support incremental deployment
