  • Abstract
    This paper describes a lens distortion correction method suitable for low cost digital cameras. Lens distortion coefficient is estimated via simplified camera calibration, after which image warping with inverse spatial mapping adapted for a DSP architecture is applied. Experimental results show that image quality after distortion correction provides comparable performance as when a quality lens system of distortion less than 2% is adopted.
