Abstract
A low power multiple-gate mixer applied in 3.6 GHz WiMAX application is presented in this paper. The circuit was designed with TSMC 0.18 μm CMOS process by introducing cross coupled RF PMOS and multiple-gate to improve linearity and conversion gain. The source degeneration inductor is replaced by the resistance to reduce the chip size. The proposed folded mixer has a conversion gain of 7.1 dB with LO power at -5 dBm. The IIP3 is 1.6 dBm, and noise figure is 11.9 dB. The total power consumption with output buffer is only 4.6 mW under a 1 V supply voltage.
