Abstract :
We investigate the nonlinear penalty of ultra-low-slope NZ-DSF with less than 50-μm2 effective area in nondispersion-compensated systems. For 80and 155-km, 10-Gbit/s transmission, negligible nonlinear penalty was found for launch powers up to 0 dBm/ch.
