Abstract :
Picosecond-pulses with a center-wavelength spanning from 1489 nm to 1589 nm is generated by a harmonically mode-locked fiber laser that exploits a SOA to provide both optical gain and mode-locking. Optical pulses with a tuning range of 100 nm are generated at 4.7 GHz.
