Abstract
The feature selective validation (FSV) technique has been shown to be a useful tool in quantifying the agreement between two data sets. To assist in the use of this relatively new and unfamiliar technique for validation purposes, the FSV technique is characterized by applying it to a number of simple waveforms, chosen to emphasize different figures-of-merit generated by the FSV technique. The sensitivity of FSV to differences between these representative data sets is demonstrated.
