Abstract :
This paper presents the design methods of microwave filter with resonant windows instead of traditional cavity resonator. A equivalent circuit model with parallel resonator and the resonant irises as resonator is shown. And then, a Chebyshev filter without transmission zeros is designed. In this filter, the main coupling is achieved by quarter-wavelength waveguide, and there is not cross-coupling. The filter has highly selective, also decreased dimension comparing with traditional direct-coupled half wavelength resonator ones. Using Uwave as EM tools, which is compiled with Mode Match Method, the result is accurate.
