  • Abstract
Velocity analysis is one of the most important stages in seismic data processing. The accuracy of the interval velocity determines the credibility of the final result of the processing. Especially, the quality of imaging and the cost of computation of interval velocity directly influence the further work, such as interpretation and inversion. However, the commonly used velocity analysis method that adopted Dix formula exist many defects, which can´t meet the requirements of fine data processing. In this paper, we summed up several velocity analysis methods and proposed an improved interval velocity computation and imaging method. Then, we realized this method by means of computer graphics technology and Qt visual programming technology. Finally, we applied this new model in actual seismic data processing and found that the accuracy of interval improved greatly. Meanwhile, the imaging quality that main reflected in the clarity of the events and energy groups also improved greatly, which meets the requirement of future analysis and interpretation.
