Abstract :
The suspension system is an important part of the vehicle. It has great effect on the vehicle´s ride comfort and handling stability. The electronically controlled air suspension system achieves different functions by using different control strategies. On this paper, 1/4 model of the vehicle was built, the stiffness of air suspension was adjusted which was Based on PID control strategy. In order to compare the control effect, the PID control and the passive control were applied on the simulation of air suspension. The simulation results show that: PID control on the air suspension stiffness adjustment reduces the vertical acceleration of the sprung mass, reduces the suspension dynamic deflection, and improves ride comfort.
