Abstract
A gain-scheduling control strategy is proposed for the active control of electromagnetic regenerative shock absorbers to be used in terrestrial vehicles for harvesting that mechanical energy induced by road unevenness that is usually dissipated in heat in standard shock absorbers. This paper extends recent results achieved by the authors on robust control design methods for this problem providing here a calibratable gain-scheduling solution, whose main feature is that of having some of the scheduling parameters directly related to the energy harvesting specification and adjustable on-line.
