Abstract :
A novel dual-band E-shaped monopole antenna is proposed for wireless applications in the 2.4/5.2GHz bands. To obtain the dual-band characteristic, two L-shaped stubs are added to a traditional monopole antenna. The proposed antenna is fed by coplanar waveguide. The antenna is simulated and measured. The measured results show that operating bands of the proposed antenna cover 2.3-2.7GHz and 5.0-5.4GHz with S11<;-10dB, which can meet the requirement of WLAN applications.
