Abstract
This article presents a number of real-time predictability issues and also some opportunities for improving the worst case execution time (WCET) of concurrent real-time threads on multi-core and multiprocessor systems. The authors analyze the real-time behavior of such systems in a number of scenarios, where thread affinity and co-scheduling techniques are used. The experimental results validate the analytically determined WCET values.
