Abstract
Simulation of Vehicular Ad hoc Networks(VANETs) is an important aspect of the analysis and design of intelligent routing and broadcasting protocols. In VANETs, the topology of the network changes very often, therefore implementation of efficient routing protocols is very important problem. The communication between vehicles is used for safety, comfort and for entertainment as well. The performance of communication depends on how better the routing takes place in the network. Routing of data depends on the routing protocols being used in network. In this paper, we have implemented two routing protocols: DSDV and DYMO and investigated the performance of the implemented routing protocols by means of CAVENET. As evaluation metrics, we use the PDR and good put. The simulation results shows that DYMO protocol has better performance than DSDV protocol.
