Abstract :
A novel compact UWB (ultra wide band) band-pass filter with dual steep rejected notched bands is presented in this paper. The band-pass with dual-notched filter is consisted of three linear interdigital hairpin fingers between two adjacent folded fingers added at each side. The dual-notched bands can be easily controlled independently by changing the parameters of each folded finger. Because of independence at each rejected band, it is very easy to add another reject band without changing other frequency reject performance. The dual-band filter is designed to control the harmonic components for power amplifier based on waveform engineering. The measured insertion loss at 6.42 and 10.7 GHz are -16.1 dB and -20.3 dB, respectively. Moreover, the filter is compact in size and the dimension is 4.9 mm × 19.9 mm.
