Abstract
This paper proposes an evolutionary model for the construction of complex networks. The model uses evolutionary set theory to simulate the process of how a real network generates. Evolutionary set theory is a model of spatial game. Individuals exist as nodes in the network and connections between nodes imply the relationship of individuals. If there is a connection existed between two individuals, they may interact with each other and gain payoff. The evolution of network is due to the activities of individuals. The topology and property of network change with the evolution. We find through the simulation that the network exhibits the property of small world and scale free. On the other hand, we analyze the process of the evolution. Through the mechanism of sets decay, the network declines and we find the best interval of snapshots which are mature and meet our goal.
