Abstract
In Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) the absence of any fixed infrastructure and mobility brings attractiveness for its usage in time-critical applications and collaborative computing. In this paper, we investigate the performance of our MANET testbed in mixed environment considering horizontal and vertical topologies. We analyze the behavior of Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol and consider two metrics: throughput and delay. We design and implement two experimental scenarios: static scenario and moving scenario and draw conclusions regarding communications with different number of hops.
