Abstract :
The initial acquisition, re-acquisition and auto tracking and controlling algorithm for SOTM mainly used the step tracking algorithm of fixed step size, and acquisition speed and tracking accuracy were difficult to achieve the optimal state at the same time. This paper proposed a step tracking algorithm of the variable step size. In this algorithm, in order to speed up acquisition speed and improve tracking accuracy, the searching step size changed over the AGC value of the target satellite. Research showed that the algorithm has faster acquisition speed and higher tracking accuracy, and improves the system performance.
