Abstract :
We present the application of metamaterials to the manipulation of the electromagnetic (EM) wave propagation. There examples will be reported including asymmetric EM wave propagation, switchable dual band EM absorption, and polarization modulation, all of which are based on particularly designed metamaterial slabs with thickness much less than the wavelength. The examples demonstrate the significant ability of metamaterial for EM wave manipulation.
