Abstract :
The introduction of automated calibration and measurement facilities used in the right environment can increase the efficiency of many routine calibrations, increases the quality of calibration and can enable direct production of certificates without the traditional intervening stages. The right software package is an important decision both for now and for development in the future. There are many points to look at when choosing a package and some of the more important ones are listed below. It is however very easy to buy more features than you need and end up with a system which is difficult to use. Try to keep in mind just what it is you want to do, and make sure the software you are buying can do it properly. If you are looking for a system that can calibrate large volumes of instruments above all look for a system which is easy to use. A complex system will slow down a skilled engineer and make it impossible for a technician to use
