Abstract :
This paper introduces a novel human-computer interface, which uses the electrical signals produced by any residual muscle of persons with a physical disability and translates it to signals to control the cursor of an electronic device. The system also includes electrostimulation signals as feedback to the user to improve performance. The feedback is applied in same muscle from were the signal is been read and in the mirrored muscle of the other side of the body, and a comparison of both types of feedback is presented. This paper shows a Fitt´s law analysis to validate the usability of the interface and also analyze the performance improvement given by adding the electrostimulation feedback.
