Abstract :
Two methods are described to optimize the polarization of tracking antennas to the received signal´s polarization. The objectives of the polarization optimization are to maintain the received signal level by reducing the polarization mismatch loss and to avoid the possibility of unstable antenna tracking when cross polarized signals are received and processed by the antenna control system.
