Abstract :
The geometric configuration considered in this paper consists of a circular, dielectric cylindrical sheath, which encloses a parallel, eccentric, circular, dielectric cylinder; the sheath is partly covered by a zero-thickness, axially slit, PEC cylinder. The method of analytical regularization (MAR) is used for studying scattering of a T-polarized, plane wave impinging on the cylindrical structure. The numerical application reveals the possibility of suppressing or enhancing the resonances in the radar cross section (RCS) of the cavity-backed aperture via changes in the internal structure of the cavity.
