Abstract :
The new wide-band multi-frequency phased array antenna design based on multi-functional RF antenna (T/R modules) elements has been accomplished and demonstrated. The new design provides the potential for high efficiency communication networking system for airborne platforms. The approach has also the advantages of low loss, low cost, broadband, high power handling and low DC power dissipation. The extension of this design to include other higher frequency bands is technically feasible, although very challenging.
