Abstract :
The author describes some of the features available in Hewlett-Packard´s media-enriched workstations, some of the challenges involved in creating an integrated multimedia environment, and some of the advances that the industry can expect in the next few years. Particular attention is given to the client-server architecture and the user model.<>
