Abstract
In this paper we consider the problem of localizing missing scatterers (faults) inside a known grid of thin perfect electric conducting cylinders. The case of a TM scalar two-dimensional geometry is dealt with. The problem is attacked from to different perspectives. In the first case, we search for the locations of the scatterers that actually are present in the grid. In the second case, the positions of the faults are searched for. An appropriate model of the electromagnetic scattering by the fault is employed. The two approaches are compared as the number of faults varies. However, in both cases a Time Reversal MUSIC algorithm is adopted.
