Abstract

An efficient pricing and accounting scheme is required in order to guarantee fare competition among network providers aiming for continuous network progress. We discuss the revenue flow for several connectionless services these providers can offer. In particular, a new pricing and accounting mechanism is proposed for guaranteed type services. This is based on the network access agent, called NAgent, that mediates between users and network providers. The NAgent software architecture, based on the TINA business model, and its routing algorithm are also discussed
