Abstract :
A comprehensive numerical databank on electrical, thermal, mechanical, degradation. and other properties of solid, liquid, and gaseous insulating materials for electrical utility equipment such as transformers, cables, and capacitors has been developed. It is being operated online to support the electric power industry. This databank is continuously updated and upgraded, and represents a central source of technical, commercial, and applications data on electrical insulating materials and systems. directly accessible online. The databank is interactive, menu-driven, and user-friendly. It enables the direct mode of search/retrieval of data for specified materials, properties, and independent variables, as well as unit conversion, variable transformation, and interactive graphical display of the retrieved data, and the inverted mode of search/retrieval of qualified materials that meet a set of specified property requirements. The methodology for data compilation, evaluation, analysis, and correlation is presented, along with the databank development, content, and operation
