Abstract :
Fractal exists not only in complex plane but also in higher dimensional space. To realize the 3D fractal, the quaternion as the iteration variable is applied to create the 4D Julia set. After introducing usual complex Julia sets, the paper argues the process of the rendering of quaternion Julia fractals, and shows the graphic examples. Via the observation and analysis, some features of quaternion Julia sets are summarized in comparison with complex Julia sets, illustrating the relationship between them.
